Early in 1903 Isaac died at the age of 81. His second son, Arthur recorded the death in his personal notebook as follows:

Sarah lived on for another 14 years and finally died early in 1917 aged 85. She had borne at least 14 children of whom 9 were still living.

The occasional birth, marriage or death of a Lord in the Wycombe area has been found as far back as 1802 but until Isaac and Sarah arrived in Stokenchurch, the census returns had shown no Lords in the Wycombe district. They began a lineage which was to produce a number of the town’s influential citizens and even celebrities.
